Abstract

The article outlines the knowledge and skills that are subject to testing during creating tests for English language, arranges the knowledge and tasks to be tested in a certain sequence from simple to more complex, determines the type of tasks, collects materials for the test, and analyzes students' knowledge. errors, selects distractions, tasks and includes questions for collecting statistical material for answer analysis. The study was conducted on the basis of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University named by B. Sydykov, with the participation of first-year students of the Philology Faculty and teachers of the subject “English language”. The purpose of the work is to determine the role of test questions in teaching English and to develop a methodology for teaching grammar and spelling in foreign language lessons to students studying in the pedagogical field. It is quite difficult to understand a number of terms in verbal form in various language teaching lessons. Therefore, using tests in teaching of foreign language increases the effectiveness of learning. But test creation methods require other criteria. As a result of the study, the stages of correct preparation of tests when teaching English were identified.
