RESULTS OF CULTURAL MODERNIZATION OF KYRGYZSTAN (20-30 years of XX century)

The article attempts to analyze the results of the Soviet education sector renewal, which were the main direction of cultural modernization in Kyrgyzstan in the 20-30s, and the problem of illiteracy elimination. It is noted, that in the conditions of Kyrgyzstan, the elimination of illiteracy and Soviet education were closely interconnected, having not only socio-economic but also political significance. In order to create a Soviet education system, short-term courses were opened to train elementary school and teachers in the 20s. In the 1930s, the number of secondary schools increased, and specialized secondary schools and higher education institutions were established.
