Abstract

The article describes the methods of using Internet resources of information and communication technologies for learning English. E-mail correspondence with peers who are native speakers and learn English as a foreign language in other countries (modern, live language, promptness of information, the opportunity to study another culture, gain first-hand knowledge). Participation in text and voice chats. Participation in international telecommunications projects. Participation in telecommunications competitions, distance Olympiads, an opportunity to obtain an objective assessment of knowledge, to assert oneself, to prepare for exams, participation in other types of competitions and olympiads, and testing. The possibility of prompt free publication of students' creative works is an increase in motivation. Obtaining self-education in free or paid distance learning courses. In addition, the importance of aspects of the expediency of including telecommunication technologies in the educational process when teaching the grammatical side of speech is determined, that students get the opportunity to carry out mediated interpersonal communication among themselves within the framework of given grammatical topics or speech situations, passing messages to each other in the form of text, sound and images, thereby providing sustainable motivation for cognitive activity.
