Abstract

This article examines the formation of Kyrgyz folk songs, which for many centuries have been continuously on the path jf development. We all know that a change in the of a people from one established state to anoher also affects cultural development. Folk art, which occupies an important place in the cultural direction, has also undergone these changes. The formation and development of folk art, songs and melodies were closely connected with the life of the people and society, and the character, genre and diversity also changed. Despite the sociocultural changes occurring in the modern period, song creativity has a high potential for preservftion, dissemination and development. This is primarily due to the functions that song creativity performs in modern Kyrgyz society. The article also examines issues related of Kyrgyz song performing culture, its origins, development and significance in the life of the people throughout its history. The appeal to this topic is due to the problem of alienation of modern culture from its historical foundations.  The author of the article believes that the study of the song creativity of the people is impossible without understanding the Kyrgyz folk song. The novelty of the study lies in the attempt to conduct an in-depth analysis of the melodic features of the Kyrgyz folk song.
