LITERARY TRANSLATIONS OF THE 1950S-60S: HEIGHTS AND PROBLEMS

Abstract

The research topic in this work concerns the level of translation of horror stories in Kyrgyz literature of the 1950s and 1960s. The purpose of the study is that in 1951, a wide meeting of the board of the Writers’ Union “On improving the quality of translation of the literary book “Korkom” was held at the Writers’ Union of Kyrgyzstan. Chairman of the Board of the Youth Union K. Bayalinov will make a report on the topic “On the quality of translations of horror literature.” Chairman of the Board of the Union of Writers of Kyrgyzstan K. on the topic “On the quality of literary translations.” Bayalinov will make a report. An analysis of the quality and shortcomings of translations of those years is given. A number of articles on literary translations are widely published in periodicals. Translators are subject to strict requirements. As a result, it will be possible to identify the best literary translations of that period, adopt them and draw conclusions.
