Abstract

The subject of the research is management styles in organizations. The aim of the study is to classify management styles and define each of them. Analysis of scientific literature, comparison methods and a descriptive method were used in the study. Based on the results, some recommendations for further research were written. In general, management style is a managerial behavior specific to a manager that emerges from the interaction of a manager's relationships with the people he/she works with in order to achieve his/her duties and goals. The most important reason for the differentiation of management styles is the management approach of the manager. Management styles are generally classified as "autocratic management, protective management, supportive management, unionist management, and stray management". Each management style highlights certain behaviors and creates different effects on employees. Each management style affects the behavior and attitudes of the leader and those who work together in that organization. Employees are expected to conform to this style and it affects employees in different ways. This article provides information about these management styles. On the basis of scientific literature, we needed to differentiate management styles, who makes important decisions in the organization, success in work depending on whose authority, the interaction of employees and changes in attitude to work are analyzed.
