Abstract

In this paper, the subject of the study is the clinical and laboratory signs of lupus nephritis and lupus hepatitis. The aim of the study is to determine the characteristics of liver damage in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus and identify the most significant clinical and laboratory parameters for the differential diagnosis of viral hepatitis. Clinical and laboratory methods for determining the signs of lupus nephritis and lupus hepatitis were used in the studies. Clinical and laboratory signs of kidney damage were noted in 48 (61.5%) and liver in 41 (52.5%) patients with systemic lupus erythematosus. Nephropathy was manifested by lupus nephritis in 60.4%, interstitial nephritis in 9-18.8%, medicinal nephritis in 6.2% and secondary antiphospholipid syndrome in 14.6% of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus. The types of liver pathology were lupus hepatitis in 53.7%, medicinal hepatitis in 19.5%, chronic viral hepatitis B, C in 4.9%, secondary antiphospholipid syndrome in 7.3% and low-fat alcoholic kidney disease in 14.6% of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus.
