PRESERVATION OF THE FOLK PLOT AND HISTORICAL CONNECTION IN THE POEM "ALP TOBOK"

Abstract

The subject of research in this work is the presentation of the folk legend in the poem "Alp Tobok" written by folklorist A. Chorobaev and how true the legend is with history. The purpose of the study: to analyze the presentation of the folk legend in the poem "Alp Tobok" and how true the legend iт relatively history. In the research, the simplicity, pride, and heroism of the Tobok giant, who lived in real life, in the poem "Alp Tobok", were developed by the author in an artistic image, the presentation of artistic means, and the relationship between folklore and history, a folk legend is a widespread genre in folk art. It is very close to the simple legend in many respects, but it has a distinct difference, it is much more different from the fantasy than the legend in that it attempts to interpret historical figures, historical events, scenes, and the origin of place names. Therefore, it differs from fairy tales and legends in that it shows issues of everyday life and events with a historical basis. Depending on the topic, Kyrgyz folk legends are generally divided into two large groups - historical (folk legends dedicated to a famous historical person who lived in history) and toponymic (folk legends explaining the origin of place names). However, there are cases where it is not possible to divide the concepts of legend, fairy tale, myth by clear boundaries, so it is important to divide such a division according to the meaning of the work in a rather conventional way. In this article, we decided to analyze the presentation of the folk legend "Alp Tobok" written by folklorist A. Chorobayev and how true the legend is with history. In the poem "Alp Tobok", we considered that it was our goal to reveal the simplicity, arrogance, and heroism of the Tobok giant, who lived in reality, in an artistic image by the author, the presentation of artistic means, and the relationship between folklore and history.
