In this work, the subject of the study is the treatment of elderly and senile people with cholelithiasis. Purpose of the study: the study presents significant difficulties due to severe concomitant diseases and complicated forms of cholecystitis, mechanical jaundice, cholangitis. Methods of the study: blood and urine analysis, ECG, biochemical analyzes were used to assess the functional state of the liver and kidneys, blood coagulation indices, ultrasound, MRI. The results obtained: so far have accumulated extensive experience in the surgical treatment of cholelithiasis, pain management methods have been optimized, the technique of cholecystectomy has been worked out, a laparoscopic method has been proposed and developed, which is increasingly being introduced into the clinic. But its use for the elderly and senile continues to be discussed. The features of the results obtained: have come to the conclusion, that a number of researchers prefer the mini-laparotomy approach as less traumatic in comparison with the traditional one. The practical significance of the obtained result is that the general condition improves rapidly, jaundice disappears faster and the terms of inpatient treatment are the shortest. As a result of the research, it is recommended, that Regional antibiotic lymphostimulation for the prevention of purulent-inflammatory complications is a good measure for the elderly and senile; it reduces the incidence of complications.
