Abstract

Some species of the genus Astragalus L., belonging to different biomorphs, distributed in the south of Kyrgyzstan were studied in order to clarify their distribution areas according to the types of plant habitats, where the altitudinal pattern of distribution of taxa was taken into account. Comparative analyzes of all literary information about the species, herbarium specimens of plants from the herbarium fund of Osh State University, photographic materials collected during route expeditions about representatives of this genus were carried out. Based on the analysis of the data obtained from our study and literary information, we made the following conclusions for the first time: the studied species of the genus Astragalus L. were found on the territory of 14 types of plant habitats with soil and relief features, taking into account the altitudinal pattern of distribution of taxa in mountain phytocenoses; it was found that the studied taxa differ significantly in the size of their habitats and are characterized as taxa with wide, smallest and intermediate indicators; it was revealed that each of the types of plant habitats differs in the number of species where they live, and they form a separate group of types of plant habitats with rich, poor and intermediate species composition; it was noted that by the number of species whose habitats cover one or another vertical belt of mountain territories, the tree-shrub belt, where the distribution areas of the majority of the studied species occur, is distinguished from other altitudinal zones in the south of Kyrgyzstan.
