Abstract

In this paper, the subject of research is an experimental sample of the actuating mechanism of a rocking machine. The purpose of the study is to develop a technique for the kinematic analysis of an experimental sample of the executive mechanism of a rocking machine. The research uses experimental film photography, as well as modeling methods. It has been revealed that experimental research is a very time-consuming and costly process. At the same time, large logistical, financial and other resources are required. Therefore, in order to facilitate the research process and reduce the cost of conducting them, mathematical or computer modeling is widely used. However, in most cases, the simulation results always require experimental confirmation. In some cases, the experiment is the only possible and accessible method of research. One of the long-used classical methods of experimental research is film photography. In modern conditions, digital video recording is used instead of film. This paper presents the results of the development of a technique for determining kinematic parameters using video recording. An experimental sample of the actuating mechanism of a rocking machine based on a variable structure mechanism is subject to video shooting.
