PICTURE OF THE WORLD AND ITS TYPES IN COGNITIVE LINGUISTICS

Abstract

This article considered a particularly relevant term was - a concept in cognitive linguistics, a picture of the world, its general and particular meanings, scope of use, and its components. The term "picture of the world" is interpreted by scientist linguists ambiguously and viewed from different positions. The aim of the study is to identify the general and particular meanings of this concept, analyze their ambiguity, and study its types. This concept is very closely related to the concepts of the concept sphere, ethno culture, mentality, since the "picture of the world" is created in the mind of a person, and a person's consciousness depends on his culture, religion, mentality and environment. A person sees and feels the world around him through his language, in which there are ready-made models of perception of the world, imbued with the centuries-old experience of a whole generation, that is, language is not only a way of communication, but also a means of storing information. The following types of picture of the world are distinguished: real, cultural, linguistic picture of the world, temporal, spatial, mediated, direct pictures of the world, etc.
