ORIENTAL MOTIVES IN RUSSIAN LITERATURE OF THE XIX CENTURY

Abstract

The subject of this work is the works of Russian literature, in which poetic techniques, motives, traditions of oriental literature and culture are expressed. The works of Russian poets of the 19th century are analyzed in order to identify in them the images, symbols, traditions of the literature of the medieval East. Using the method of comparative analysis, it was determined that motives and poetic techniques, genres of poetry and folk art of the East attracted the attention of Russian poets, were refracted in their work and received a new interpretation. Special attention is paid to some symbols and images of oriental poetics, which have become an integral part of Russian love lyrics of the 19th and 20th centuries with a purely Russian theme. It was also revealed that the appeal of Russian poetsto the traditions of medieval oriental literature contributed to the enrichment of the poetry of the 19th century and found its new continuation in the Russian poetry of the 20th century in the works of such famous poets as V. Khlebnikov, V. Brusov, N. Gumilev, A. Akhmatovа.The results of the research can be used to study the course of Russian literature of the 19th and 20th centuries and the literature of the peoples of the CIS and the East.
