Abstract

The subject of the research is the avifauna of urbanized landscapes. The purpose of our study is to study the current state of representatives of the swallow family (Hirundinidae) found in the city of Osh, as well as to establish the reasons for their decline. The research was carried out within the city of Osh, in 5 stations (biotopes). Information on the number of species was obtained using the method of Yu. Ravkin, that is, by the method of constant non-fixed route accounting. It is confirmed that all three species of the swallow family (Hirundinidae) are migratory birds and are not evenly distributed. The peculiarities of arrival mainly depend on the onset of the spring period of the year, usually it occurs in the first or in the second decade of April. It was revealed that the most numerous of the three species is the city swallow (funnel, Delichon urbica (Linnaeus, 1758)).
