Abstract

EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES MANUAL PUNCHER The subject of research is a prototype of a hand-operated perforator based on a variable structure mechanism. The purpose of the work is to check its functional performance, search for optimal parameters and operating modes, and identify shortcomings for further improving the design of a manual machine. The research was carried out experimentally in laboratory conditions. A methodology for laboratory research was developed and an experimental stand was created on which the tests were carried out. The determination of the kinematic parameters and optimal operating modes of the hand-operated perforator was carried out on the basis of the kinematic analysis of its mechanisms.The results of the experimental tests carried out have shown that this hand-operated perforator is functionally efficient, the idea of using a variable structure mechanism as a percussion mechanism has been confirmed. In the course of laboratory tests, flaws in the design and irregularities in operation were revealed, for the elimination of which recommendations were given to improve the subsequent modifications of the prototypes of this machine.
