FOOD SECURITY AND MAIN DIRECTIONS AND MECHANISMS OF STATE AGRICULTURAL POLICY IN KYRGYZSTAN

Abstract

The article deals with the issues of ensuring food security and the main directions and mechanisms of the state agrarian policy, set out in the relevant legal acts of the republic. It was noted that the documents regulating the development of agriculture do not provide for specific stages and mechanisms for ensuring food security, it is necessary to legally establish threshold values for food independence for basic foodstuffs, the consumption of which in the republic is highly dependent on imports. Economic integration within the EAEU common market should contribute to the creation of a single market, taking into account the absolute and comparative advantages of each country in agricultural production.
