Abstract

This article reflects the results of a literature review covering the classification, treatment, and prevention of injuries to the zygomatic-orbital complex. Fractures of the zygomatic-orbital complex attract the attention of many authors both at the stage of immediate injury and in long-term periods. Trauma topics in this area have been extensively studied and covered in the scientific literature over the past 20 years. Several modern surgical procedures  for  fractures of the zygomatic-orbital region have been identified. However, there are still many  unresolved  issues in the diagnosis, classification, and treatment of such injuries and their consequences. The purpose of the study is to study the classification methods of treatment and prevention of injuries of the zygomatic-orbital complex. We studied 35 literary sources covering classifications and methods of treatment and  prevention of trauma to the zygomatic-orbital complex. The scientific value of the results obtained lies in the fact that for the first time in Kyrgyzstan, a comparative analysis of fractures of the zygomatic-orbital region and the appropriate choice of treatment algorithm was carried out. Also covered: are pathogenesis and cases of complications  in the form  of maxillary sinusitis and further recommendations for it.
