LONG-TERM EFFECTS OF EXPOSURE TO RADIONUCLIDES

Abstract

The article presents the morbidity for 2016-2020 of persons who participated in the liquidation of the consequnces of the Chernobyl accident, who are registered with the medical dosimetric register of the city of Osh of the Kyrgyz Republic. Diseases of the endocrine and nervous systems, eating disorders, metabolic disorders, metabolic disorders, mental disorders, diseases of the eye and its adnexa, diseases of the ear and mastoid process were studied. And also diseases of the circulatory system and diseases of the respiratory system were analyzed. Problems of radioecology and radiobiology, which are of great scientific and practical importance. For the Kyrgyz Republic, they are relevant in 3 aspects - firstly, due to the proximity to countries that have weapons of mass destruction, and secondly, because of the widespread use of radioactive materials and methods of treating cancer and other diseases, and thirdly, due to the presence of radioactive tailing dumps and uranium mining enterprises on the territory of the Republic. In order to study the morbidity developing among the liquidators of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant exposed to radiation, as well as to determine the indicator of diseases caused by the radiation dose, outpatient cards and medical histories of persons who participated in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident, which are registered with the state medical and dosimetric register of the Kyrgyz Republic, were studied.
