Abstract

Subject of research. 1121 patients with complications after operations performed for cholelitiasis. Despite the improvement of the technique of cholecystectomy in case of gallstone disease, the frequency of complications remains at a high level, especially in choledocholithiasis, in which repeated operations are required.Purpose of the study - determine the nature of complications and evaluate the results of repeated surgical interventions performed after surgery for cholelithiasis. Materials and methods.  The analysis of complications after operations performed for cholelithiasis in 1121 patients is presented. The examination used clinical, laboratory and instrumental methods. Results.  Out of 1221 operated complications were found in 112 (9.1%), of which the greatest extra weight was occupied by patients with choledocholithiasis (66 people - 58.9%), common bile duct strictures - (38 people - 33.9%) and iatrogenic injuries were less common (8 people - 7.19%). The analysis did not reveal any complications depending on the frequency of complications on the choice of access performed by cholecystectomy; they occurred with any access (laparotomic, laparoscopic). All patients were re-operated, complications in the near term occurred in 8 (7.1%). Recommendation.   With organic complications after cholecystectomy, a second operation is indicated.
