Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the results of instrumental examination of 126 children with pulmonary echinococcosis (PE). Children aged 3 to 16 years were examined in the thoracic department of the Osh interregional children’s clinical hospital in 2010-2019. PE diagnostics, along with general clinical methods, were used modern instrumental research methods - survey radiography (SR), ultrasound examination (UE), computerized tomography (CT). The purpose of the analysis of the results of instrumental studies in PE was early diagnosis, prevention of complications from PE and to choose a timely, rational tactics of treatment. In recent years, with the installation of a nuclear magnetic resonance imaging (NMRI) scanner at the Osh interregional children’s clinical hospital, this diagnostic method began to be widely used for various pathologies of the chest cavity organs in children.Echinococcosis of the lungs in children for many times can be asymptomatic or under the guise of other diseases of the respiratory system, and therefore it is often diagnosed in complicated stages.CT is a reliable research method that allows to confirm the diagnosis of echinococcosis, as well as to carry out differential diagnostics with nonparasitic cysts and other volumetric processes, to choose the optimal method of treatment.
