THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PROVERBS AND PHRASES IN THE KYRGYZ LANGUAGE

Abstract

The subject of research is the types of sayings phrases in the Kyrgyz language. The aim of the study is to identify the linguistic features of sayings and determine their contribution to the cultural and linguistic heritage of the people, as well as their classification according to their meaning, structure, specificity and use in speech, source of origin. Research on proverbs and sayings is still being conducted out mainly in the field of folklore, phraseology and literary criticism. However, the features of the difference and diversity and nature of proverbs and sayings have not been fully studied and understood, they have not received a sufficient and clear definitions in linguistics. In this paper given the definitions of sayings separately from proverbs, the sources of the origin of sayings, the epoch of creation, forms of construction of sayings and are divided into classifications. Sayings as a whole are considered in three main groups, as a result, 22 differences and 31 forms of their use in speech were identified. It is hoped that the work will be a source for further in-depth study of sayings in the Kyrgyz language.
