Abstract

To maintain the quality indicators of Uzgen rice, it becomes necessary to improve and automate the ptocess of post-harvest processing of sheaves of rice plants with shaly grains by creating mobile plants with automation and regulation, suppling steam for steam-thermal processing of glains of rice shaly sheaves. In this regard, this article discusses the issues of theoretlcal substantiation of the behavior of steam and heated air in the process of steam-thermal treatment. A diagram of the dependence of the temperature of superheated steam and the content of a kilogram of saturated steam in it has been obtained. It has been established that the amount of steam that can to fit in a given volume of the steam-thermal refining plant, depends only on the temperature. But if the temperature of the mixture drops, then its relative weight may be equal to the weight of the hot mixture or even be greater than it. There fore, the steam formed in the installation will only sink when the temperature has still dropped sufficiently, and since the hot air entering the installation is cooled by absorbing moisture, the cold air tends to fall. Hence, of course, the distribution of the mixture of air and steam in the installation must be considered from top to bottom, i.e. let the mixture into the installation from above, let it out from below. Formulas convenient for calculating the drying of grain after stream-thermal treatment fre flso obtained. It has been established that the final moisture content of the shaly grain should not exceed 0,15%. Reducling the moisture content below air-dry is useless, inefficient, and can lead to additional costs and reduce the quality of the final product.
