THE ROLE OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES IN DISTANCE LEARNING

Abstract

In this paper, the subject of research is the role of information and communication technologies in distance learning. The main purpose of the study is to analyze the concepts of distance learning, describe a brief history of their development, as well as to reveal the role of information and communication technologies in achieving the effectiveness of distance learning.

Consideration is given to the potential applications of information and communication technologies in the practical implementation of distance learning methods in the educational system of Kyrgyzstan.

The present study tries to reveal the training forms and methods for the organization of the educational process in distance learning.

Analytical and observational scientific methods were used in the study.

The results of the study indicate the advantages of information and communication technologies in distance learning and provides scientific and methodological recommendations.
