ZIYASH BEKTENOV – ENLIGHTENER AND MANAS RESEARCH

Abstract

In this work, among the outstanding personalities who made up the roots of the Kyrgyz nation, Z. Bektenov's contribution to the enlightenment of the people and to Manas studies was noted. The subject of the research is educational, scientific activity and legacy of Z. Bektenov. The purpose of the study is to note the contribution of scientist Z. Bektenov to education and science. The research methods were based on the methods of comparison, classification, description. It is noted that Ziyash Bektenov, a Soviet scientist who developed his activities, remained in the history of Kyrgyz literary studies and pedagogy as an educator-teacher and a Manas scholar who was repressed without guilt. The scientific value of the results obtained lies in the high appreciation of Z. Bektenov as a storyteller of epics and his initiative to create conditions for folk talents, carriers of this art. The practical value of the results obtained is associated with the use of materials on the history of modern pedagogy, folklore studies. Prospects for research on this topic – in the future, it is assumed that research in this scientific field will be continued and will contribute to literary studies, the history of pedagogy, and also complements the comprehensive research direction.
