Abstract

This article examines the features of the terms of kinship in the Russian and Kyrgyz linguocultures. Kinship relations are key for any ethnos and, as an important element of the picture of the world, are embodied in terms of kinship. The subject of the research is Russian and Kyrgyz kinship terms, selected from classical texts. The purpose of the study is to comparatively study the specifics of the terms of kinship and property in the Russian and Kyrgyz languages through the prism of the methodology of linguistic cultural studies. The relevance of the comparative analysis of kinship and property terms as the most ancient layer of vocabulary associated with the development of the family and its forms is determined primarily by the fact that it allows us to establish the most significant concepts for the languages under consideration. In addition, the study of the nomenclature of kinship terms makes it possible to draw a number of conclusions regarding the genetic kinship of languages and to perform a comprehensive description of the lexical and semantic systems of the Russian and Kyrgyz languages. The methods of analysis and comparative typology were used. The data obtained during the study determine the practical value of the work. The results of the research can be used in the development of theoretical courses on comparative historical, typological and comparative linguistics, special courses on terminological problems, in the compilation of specialized dictionaries, as well as in the practice of teaching lexicology.
